It all started as a conversation at work. One of my colleagues kept on boasting about some toilets she had installed in her home. At first, I assumed she was trying to let me know that she has something new in her house.
I believe you also have that one friend who talks too much. The problem is usually trusting what they say. Then, one weekend, I happened to be hanging out in her house and got to the chance to use the Niagara toilet for the first time.
On first use, I noted that the toilet was extremely quiet, and I found that extra amazing. Have you ever wanted to use the restroom in a friend’s house, but you shy away because of the loud flush? We’ve all been there.
I had a similar scenario with my living-room’s washrooms where everyone would know how long I’ve been in the restrooms.
That same night, I asked my friend for the toilet’s name pretending like I’m not interested. Little did she know that I needed a whole toilet make-over in my house? My husband was skeptical about the idea. But, after digging shallowly about the toilet, we decided to first try with the bathroom within the living-room area.
Therefore, without further ado, I will proceed and provide you with the Niagara stealth toilet reviews of the three units I have installed in my home today.
Top 3 Niagara Stealth Toilet Reviews
1. Niagara 77001WHCO1 Stealth 0.8 GPF Toilet with Elongated Bowl and Tank Combo
As a mother of two, cutting my house expenses is usually my top priority. Many are times I get cornered by both my husband and the kids for some decisions I make.
But, when the bills hit the mail, they are always the first to thank me. Buying this 77001 model of the Niagara toilets was one of the best upgrades that saw my husband thank me a lot.
Just like many other toilets, this imported model comes in white. The vitreous China, metal material make the toilet attractive. I no longer have to think about what my visitors will say about my living-room toilet.
Also, the elongated shape is an advantage if you choose to have it installed in a washroom that has frequent visitors. Many argue that the toilet fits to be a smart toilet. But, I can assure you it’s not because it does not use a battery to get the job done. Just the normal mechanisms.
Like many of you, I enjoy using a toilet with a quiet flush. However, I had never had the chance of owning one. It was not until I acquired this Niagara model for my living room area.
The unit is extremely quiet such that even people in the living room won’t notice you were in there. The Ultra-High-Efficiency and pressure assist flush works best with my kids for they no longer have to call me every time they visit the room.
Did you know that your toilet system can cost you about 30 percent of your water bills? Most probably you had no idea. You only realize this when you upgrade your washroom to an efficient unit.
I can attest that I’m now saving a few dollars from the make-over. This toilet is rated at 0.8 GPF which is a good score for areas with high water bills. The fact that it doesn’t require a double flush makes it even unique.
The importation process got me a bit scared because of the installation process. However, my local plumber was smart enough and made the whole process easy.
At first, I remember I had not included the mounting bolts in my purchase. Luckily, the plumber had some pins with him and got it stuck to my washroom’s floor in no time. Also, I realized that my package had no seat when it was already at my doorstep.
But, the same plumber came up with the idea of installing the seat from my old toilet, and I can tell you it was a smart idea. It saved me a few dollars.
Although elongated, this Niagara model is medium in size measuring 28.9 x 18.8 x 31 inches. It’s only after installation that I realized that my previous piece was consuming too much of my washroom space.
- Easy to install
- Invincible, stylish and durable flush button
- Extremely quiet flush
- Water Sense certified
- Suitable for homes that target to conserve water
- The toilet’s seat must be purchased. It does not come with the unit
2. Niagara 77002WHCO1 Stealth 0.8 GPF Toilet with Round Bowl and Tank Combo
I have been using this particular unit for three months now, and I can say that I’m living to enjoy everything about it. I’m a bit of detail lady. Of course with the white vitreous China finishing, I got all I could ask. It’s round-shaped, and this works well with my kids because both our bedroom and theirs happens to be upstairs.
We both know that stories can be biased. But, numbers never lie when it comes to paying the bills. I reside in an area where water rates are a bit high, and I felt relieved after acquiring this Niagara 7702 model.
The toilet runs on 0.8 gallons per flush, and all the waste is gone. From the stories I’ve heard from friends, I advise you not to have it in your basement.
Although it has a pressure assist flush, with the low GPF, it’s challenging to handle the sewer load from upstairs. Besides, the toilet has a quiet flush. I no longer have to scare my kids in the wee hours whenever one of us heads in there.
Have you ever bought an item and the installation process got complicated? I once experienced this while remodeling my kitchen. I ended up returning some cabinets for they couldn’t fit my kitchen design. This Niagara model wasn’t much of a hassle because I had one already installed.
So, I had the idea of how to go about from the point of buying. I didn’t require its seat because my old set had one already, and it was in excellent condition.
However, if you don’t have a toilet seat that’s in excellent condition, you can order one. Also, you can order the bolts that stick the toilet to the floor as many retailers offer a good deal when the three are bought together.
But, don’t get nervous in case one of the packages delays. At times, the goodies get packed separately and thus the delay.
As you are aware, I’m a bit concerned about my space. That is, how much room does the unit leave for me to move around? I never have issues with this Niagara model. The medium size works better for me. It’s approximately 27 x 18.8 x 30 inches big.
- Extremely quiet
- Takes less time to refill
- It consumes little space in the washroom and hence suitable for those with small washroom space
- The unit does not come with a seat
- It’s flushing mechanism inside is rare to find the local hardware stores
3. Niagara N7711 Stealth Elongated One-Piece Toilet
A few months ago, I wanted to replace the toilet in the visitor’s restroom. First, I was confused. Not sure of what to pick. My husband was for the idea that we try a different design if not the manufacturer. But, my trust for Niagara goodies saw me stuck and choose the N7711 model but with a porcelain material.
The material makes it appealing to my visitors. Also, I decided on the one-piece design because of its sleek design and match with the bathroom sink. I no longer complain about a tiring cleaning process.
The visitor’s toilet was the last I did replace. But, one thing I can tell you is that I’m always smiling when the water bills hit my mail. I realized a real cut in figures.
I was a bit hesitant about the unit because it was to be placed in the visitor’s room which happens to be in the basement. I believe you’ve heard stories of clogs due to weaker flush systems in the basement’s toilets? I’ve witnessed it in my house.
This unit has a powerful flush, and this excludes the need for a double flush leave alone the blockages. The bathroom requires only 0.8 GPF, and all the waste is gone even when there are a lot of tissues in the bowl. This model outdid my ’97 model which required 1.6 GPF.
Today, the N771 toilet model is the largest toilet I’ve ever had installed in my home. The elongated shape makes it approximately 29.5 x 17.2 x 28.5 inches in size.
I realized that the toilet was the largest among the new units I had just installed. Luckily for me, it was to be installed in the visitor’s room and which happens to have sufficient washroom space. So, if you plan on acquiring one, first check if you have enough washroom area.
Also, ensure you buy the toilet together with its bolts which are used to attach it to the floor. A seat may even come in handy in case you don’t have one, or the older one appears to be messed up.
- It’s extremely quiet
- Requires a single flush after use
- Easy to clean
- The unit does not come with a seat
